Move photos without losing the pair.
Copy, move, drag out, fix a capture time, or put the original filenames back. A RAW and its JPEG are treated as one thing throughout.
Copy to Folder… and Move to Folder… live in the Image menu and on the right-click. The folder picker is GalleryID’s own rather than the system one, so it can tell you something the system dialog cannot: whether the names you are about to send are already there.
When names collide
Keep both, Skip, or Overwrite
The choice appears only when the destination actually has matching names, and it says how many. Keep both gives the incoming file a letter suffix and replaces nothing, which is the default. Skip duplicates leaves them where they are. Overwrite replaces the files at the destination and cannot be undone. Your last choice is remembered.
RAW and JPEG travel together unless you say otherwise. Moving a selection with pairs in it asks once whether to take both, the JPEGs alone, or the RAWs alone, and taking a RAW takes its sidecar with it. The Pairs chips in the toolbar set the default, and the answer here applies to this one transfer.
Trash and rename always act on both halves whatever the Pairs setting says. There is no dialog on those, so a RAW is never left behind on its own.
Drag photos straight out. One gesture, three destinations: onto a folder in the sidebar, which moves them; into Finder; or onto a browser upload page, which is how photos reach a site that has no GalleryID integration. Pairs always travel whole. Dragging a selected photo drags the whole selection, and dragging an unselected one drags only that photo without changing what you had selected.
You can also come the other way: drop a photo or a folder on the GalleryID icon, or use Open With, and it opens in Browse.
Adjust capture time
For the body you forgot to set
Right-click a selection and choose Adjust capture time…. Shift adds or subtracts days, hours, minutes and seconds from what is already there, which is the one you want after a timezone or a daylight-saving slip. Set writes an absolute date and time. Either way it shows you the before and after on the first photo before you apply, and it writes all three date fields, landing in a sidecar for RAW.

When someone hands you a spreadsheet
Match rows to photos by a filename column, map the other columns onto IPTC fields, and import. Empty cells are skipped rather than blanking what is already on the photo, and the modal tells you how many rows actually matched your selection before you commit. Matching is on the filename without its extension, and it ignores case.
Restore original filenames
Undo a rename, months later
If GalleryID or Photo Mechanic renamed a file on ingest, the original name was recorded inside it. Restore original filename puts it back, per capture, so both halves of a pair return to the same stem and no extension ever changes. A photo with nothing recorded is skipped and counted rather than guessed at.
