Voice memos
Say the number. Desktop hears it.
Camera voice memos are transcribed on your machine and matched to the folder’s roster. Nothing is tagged until you confirm it.
Most pro bodies can record a short voice memo against a frame; it lands beside the photo as a WAV with the same name. Ingest carries the memo across with the photo, Browse shows a speaker on the thumbnail, and Play memo in the preview header plays it back.
Transcription runs on your computer with a speech model that ships inside the app. No upload, no account, no connection. Turn on Settings ▸ Browse ▸ Transcribe voice memos after ingest and it runs on its own once the card has ejected, or use Transcribe memos in the Browse toolbar for a folder you already have. Frames with suggestions waiting get a T mark next to the speaker.
From the memo
Suggestions, not tags
Open a marked photo. Under the MatchID column, From the memo shows what was heard and a card for each roster player it resolved: a spoken number (“twelve”, “number 12”, “double zero”) or a last name, with a team word breaking ties when both sides share a number. The check on a card tags that player exactly as a click on the roster card would, so the caption template fills in the same way. The cross hides a wrong guess, and hidden cards stay in an undo list. Rebinding the roster re-resolves the memo against the new one.
The transcript is kept per memo, so a folder is only transcribed once unless the memo file changes. Memos longer than two minutes are transcribed to the two-minute mark. If your license check is pending, the strip says so and waits rather than transcribing.
