Share a whole folder with one link

Create the link

   Open the folder's sharing panel

   Right-click the folder in the browser and choose Share Folder..., then open the External tab. Users and Groups are the other two tabs, for people who do have accounts.

   Check what the link covers

   A line above the form counts it for you: "Anyone with this link can view all 14 galleries in this folder and its 3 subfolders." Turn Include subfolders off and the count drops to the folder itself.

   Pick public or password

   Public means anyone with the link. Password means anyone with the link and the password you set. A password-protected link shows nothing at all before the password is entered, not the folder name and not the gallery count.

   Set downloads and an expiry

   Allow download decides whether the recipient can take the files or only look. An expiry date is optional, and a link without one does not expire.

   Send it

   Enter a recipient email and GalleryID sends the link with your note. Leave the email blank and you get the link to copy instead.

What the recipient sees

• •The link opens at /sf/<token>, which asks for the password if the link has one, then lands them on the folder.
• •They see the published galleries the link covers, and nothing else in your account.
• •Unpublished galleries are not included. Publish a gallery and it appears in the folder link without you touching the link.
• •No account, no sign-in, no invitation.

Managing links you have made

Existing links live in the same External tab, under Existing links. Each row copies its URL, reveals its password, and offers Modify, Send and Delete. Views and downloads are counted per link, so you can tell which client actually opened what.

Giving access to people who have accounts

The Users and Groups tabs are a different thing and do not create a link. They grant a person or a group real folder access at one of three levels, and Include subfolders carries the grant down the tree.
